I designed this easy to make (3D printable) chess board. It only consists of two files, the black and white part. You can 3D print each part in one piece. The example you see was printed at a 50% scale. Each square has a size of 25x25mm (1x1"). After printing the two pieces (without support), you can stick or glue them together.
