Twist Formicarium Modules

Demo: https://youtu.be/7Vhj8G6GHrY Here's a new connection method I'm working on for formicarium modules. These modules will be 3/4 to 1 turn screw on to connect modules. There will be a nub at the top of the screw to align and lock the modules when screwed together. 3/8" OD flex tubing should also just fit directly into the female Twist connectors. Connect modules using the 3/8" OD flex tubing or use the Twist male to male adapter. See pictures. I recommend printing test tube adapters with a flexible filament such as TPU. I have broken several test tubes using rigid filaments. Included are adapters for compatibility with "Many Formicarium" connectors. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2377968 Test tube adapters are still being designed and tested. 12mm tubes tested. Test prints are being done with PLA. The fitment of the connectors may not be the same with different plastic combinations. Ideas - Use Twist Plug to stop any ports up that aren't being used. - Use cotton or another soft material wrapped around the 3/8" OD vinyl tube and secure 12mm test tube over it. - Use 12.5mm test tube cap as a cap on a female to female connector (s shown in picture) - Use 12.5mm test tube cap as connector between female to female connector and test tube (as shown in picture, poke hole in cap) - Connect two 12.5mm test tubes back to back using test tube caps and female to female connector (poke holes in caps) - Trim the flanges off the 12.5mm test tube cap to fit the small end into a 1/8"…
