Injection Assistant

This is an injection assistant device. When self-injecting medications it can be difficult to withdraw all the medicine from the vial. There are three reasons for this: 1) The syringe needle, when inserted fully often goes beyond the neck of the vial, leaving some medicine behind. 2) The self-healing silicone membrane is actually a cone underneath the cap and some of the medicine can be trapped outside the cone. 3) The syringe needle is fragile and can bend and/or break off very easily. This device is designed to help with all three issues. The space between the syringe and the vial is calibrated to barely penetrate the self-healing membrane, and the whole device can be then held completely vertical ensuring the maximum amount of medicine can be withdrawn. When assembled, the whole unit is very stable and allows for gentle shaking to try and get the medicine outside of the code, inside the cone. The stability of the unit also ensure that no undue pressure is placed upon the needle. The device comes in two sizes: 1) 2ml Vial for a 50 unit (0.5ml) syringe. 2) 5ml Vial for a 100 unit (1.0ml) syringe. The pieces are not interchangeable so using the 2ml Vial Cradle with the 100 unit Syringe Cradle will not work correctly. I am open to adding a 2ml/100unit or 5ml/50unit option if there is a demand for it. I print with a 15% Gyroid infill and often use a brim with large objects.
