Ultimate Button Box This is a kit which allows for the construction of a modular button box for any application. A grid layout and customizable panels provides the ability to create modules which can be swapped out over time, upgraded, or modified. The kit contains over 40 different components, with more planned in the future. Also included are works-in-progress for HOTAS components which also fit into the frame: A throttle and a joystick setup. I have the throttle printed already and use it for DCS today. The use of a GX-16 aviation connector allows swapping out the throttle components for a different design. Construction requires just some basic 3D printing, some M3 nuts and M3 button head cap screws. The supports included also allow you extend the box at 90 degree angles, allowing for dials and switches to be placed on the sides of the boxes as well. A 6x6 button box with a 2x4 unit face is included in the project. Corner supports can be used to make your own custom enclosure with sheet materials. "Early Access" There's a lot that could be added to this project: the use of angled connectors to create cockpit-like panels is one that comes to mind, as well as different modules for the top of the grid, 14 Character alphanumeric panels, TFT display mounts, etc. However, at this point I've put so many hours into this (and so much money into building prototypes) that I'd like to see if there's a desire for this as a…
