TL;DR: Basically a science fiction themed spectacle case C.E.R. stood for “Contents Emit Radiation”. Our scientists used these containers to store used plutonium before launching them into space and disposing them together with other space debris. Since our cease and desist notice, we are making these containers available to civilians. At 5cm (inner diameter) by 18cm (inner height), it is just the right size for most civilians’ spectacles. We have since renamed it to “Corrective Eyewear Receptacle” to illustrate its new purpose.
