Power Case

The power case was developed with the goal of protecting and enabling the reuse of the electronic components of a previously damaged switched-mode power supply in its original structure. Given the impossibility of using the original casing, a new, customized mechanical solution was designed, guaranteeing the safety, functionality, and integrity of the internal components. The entire case structure was manufactured using 3D printing, allowing for a custom design to correctly accommodate the electronic board. Furthermore, both the electronic components of the power supply and the electrical pins responsible for connecting to the power grid were reused, contributing to cost reduction and promoting a sustainable approach by avoiding unnecessary material disposal.
