Sub-Zero (whose real name is Kuai Liang) is a blue-clad, masked ninja (except in Mortal Kombat 3 and Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance). Like his brother, he is descended from the Cryomancers, an alien race that possesses the ability to generate and control ice powers. Sub-Zero has become one of the most popular characters in the Mortal Kombat video game series, and his fame has surpassed that of Liu Kang, the games' main hero. Currently, Sub-Zero and Scorpion are considered the most popular characters in the series. His only family is the Lin Kuei, his brother is Bi-Han, (after he died he was reborn as Noob Saibot) and his best friend is Smoke.
