LINKITS were a strange British construction toy. Where The Construction Toy the Shall Not be Named has lots of different bricks, LinkIts had one bricklet that tried to do everything. The resulting sets were (to put it mildly) abstract - you couldn't make an elephant out of LinkIts, but you could make lots of different sorts of alien robots. They were tough but fiddly to assemble. I think they're good for kids around age 5 when they are inbetween other famous construction toys. The sets used to come with lots of spare connectors, but they were prone to getting lost, or wearing down and becoming too loose, or getting mangled. Someone else made a good video review on YouTube:- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kb6hs6Nckq0 If this part works, it could be used to add all sorts of claws and wheels and guns onto LinkIts bricklets. That was another big flaw of this toy range: too small a selection of attachments. IMPORTANT WARNING: I haven't yet worked on the safety aspect of toxic resin being used in a small children's toy. There are spray-paints I would consider basically satisfactory to this purpose, but they will add some certain thickness to the print which has to be allowed for in the design since its thickness must be exact. Although I've done the measurements with calipers, a lot will depend on the exposure time. Probably ABS-style resin is recommended but I use water-washable.
