my dock quit working. the spring that pushed the usbc plug into the switch wore out, and i couldnt get a connection anymore. i took the board out of the dock housing and made this so i can still play on my tv. it works just fine. like a charm. just set the switch in the cradle and plug the usbc input into the switch. no exposed contacts. completely safe, and the switch gets to breath. its definitly a cheaper option and you get to use your official dock board. no screws required. the board pressure fits into the housing and its solid. all the ports line up. it all works as it should.
