Not having the laser unit in hand yet I took measurements from another design by Vince Fero (i think) that i can no longer find and reference. I'm yet to print this so I'm not sure if/how it will work. The idea is to have a narrow air stream at about 45 deg and to leave a decent opening for the diode cooling flow from above. Please forgive the roughness of the 3d model but I'm a beginner with fusion. V2 has a few modifications with the nozzle pointing more towards the back and support added to the intake side. (removed) V3 has a larger tube and a bit more clearance for the intake and also from the burn surface. (removed) V5 With the laser unit in hand I was able to make some final adjustments. The cone is now more of a dome shape to increase the airflow from above (diode cooling) and the hose and nozzle have been tweaked to print better. I got best results printing 0.16 layer height.
