Description

The Koko Spirometer Adapter was developed to provide a safe and efficient connection between the disposable filter and the spirometer, ensuring the integrity of the test and protecting the patient against cross-contamination. Its main purpose is to create a tight seal between the filter and the spirometer, maintain the accuracy of respiratory measurements by preventing air leaks, and facilitate handling and filter replacement without compromising the equipment. To ensure durability and safety, it is recommended that the adapter be manufactured in PETG, which provides good mechanical strength, dimensional stability, and resistance to cleaning and disinfection processes. Key design features include a firm and airtight connection with the filter, an adaptable fit to the Koko spirometer mouthpiece, an ergonomic shape that facilitates assembly and disassembly, and an optimized internal channel that prevents airflow restrictions and ensures accurate respiratory readings.
