To ensure durability and safety, it is recommended that the adapter be manufactured in PETG, which provides good mechanical strength, dimensional stability, and resistance to cleaning and disinfection processes. Key design features include a firm and airtight connection with the filter, an adaptable fit to the Koko spirometer mouthpiece, an ergonomic shape that facilitates assembly and disassembly, and an optimized internal channel that prevents airflow restrictions and ensures accurate respiratory readings.
