Drow (English drow, self-designation - "ilitiri"; in different translations, the transcriptions "drau" and "drow" were used)[1] - Dark Elves, a fictional race in the Dungeons & Dragons worlds. They were first mentioned in the rule book of the First Edition of the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons game system by Gary Gygax in 1979 as a kind of elf race. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, they were finalized and included by Ed Greenwood in the new Forgotten Realms setting ("Forgotten Kingdoms"), within which they became most famous (according to which they are described in the article).
