DAWN SPACE PROBE

Dawn was a space probe launched by NASA and led by JPL in the United States. Its mission was to examine the dwarf planet Ceres and the asteroid Vesta, which are located in the asteroid belt situated between Mars and Jupiter. It was launched on September 27, 2007, explored Vesta between 2011 and 2012 and orbited Ceres from 2015 to 2018. In October 2017, NASA announced that the mission was to be extended until depletion of the probe's fuel occurred at the end of October 2018.
